I often think that every other business owner may well be having a far easier time than me. The grass does always seem greener. Critical to knowing that you are on the right path (in the face of whatever drama may have occurred today) is the process of reporting and review (have I lost you?)… and in so doing, take the time to celebrate.

The Top Misconceptions About Startups

Most groupthink about startups is correct in the aggregate. Almost all of them fail, fundraising = success, etc. But what I've learned is a lot of these general learnings don't really apply to you. Because the best startups are all outliers. That means they are doing something special. So don't get distracted by averages here, and what usually happens. There's no point in building an average startup.
